Promoting your trip to a Christian Camp in California

Promoting your trip

After you book your trip, it's time to start promoting or at least thinking about promoting your trip. Just like advertisements for items you use every day, the more you can get the news out about your trip, the more likely people are going to come.

Here are some suggestions and ideas to consider when promoting your trip:

Email
    • Send an email right away to students telling them a few key details about the trip - Why they want to come, who's invited, and when it's happening.
    • Send an email to parents answering any concerns they might have, and telling them when deadlines are for signing up.
    • Send links to promotional videos from the camp.
Social Networking Sites
    • Get the word out - where your students spend time.
    • Create an event on Facebook, and send out reminders
    • Post tweets when you confirm information for the trip - speaker - transportation - weather...
Web site
    • Have a web site your students visit - post information on it about the upcoming trip.
Verbally
    • As deadlines get closer, call people you expected to come, but that haven't signed up yet.
    • Mention it often in front of the group.
Paper
    • Put up posters that promote the trip - Ask your camp if they have posters ready made for you.
    • Post flyers around town in locations your students frequent.
Video
    • Show promotional video clips at your regular meetings
    • Share links to other promotional videos online
