California Christian Camps
Resources for after returning home from a Christian Camp in California
Maintaining the momentum
Your home! And if you do nothing, too much of the growth your group experienced over the last days will slowly be choked out by the weeds and business of "everyday" life.
Here are some ideas to help keep your youth group energized after returning home, so that what they learned about Jesus Christ will transfer from head knowledge to practical application.
Relationships
- Schedule events to reunite your kids with each other, so that healthy relationships that began at camp can continue to grow.
- Contact the camp about how your youth can communicate with staff that had a positive impact on their life.
- If your group really connected with some amazing staff at camp, see if you can schedule that camp employee to be a guest speaker sometime in the coming months.
- Throw a welcome home bash, to share memories with those that went to camp, and those that didn't. If you plan it right, this event can be a positive building block to an even better camp next year.
